In the season of Daniel, some very important things were unveiled. They were prophecies concerning the last days and our time. Daniel sought to understand these things and he was given understanding in a measure. You cannot effectively study the book of Revelation without the book of Daniel. In like manner, you cannot study the book of Daniel very well without the book of Revelation. This is because both of them go together. Daniel was a man who had understanding. In the Scriptures, Daniel and David were two men amongst many whom the spirit of revelation and understanding was at work in them and their ministry.

Sometimes, we approach ministry outside the life which God has to give; but we must know that ministry is actually about getting life. So in a way, all of us are in ministry. The work of ministry is the "beholding" which all of us have been called into (2 Corin. 3:18). David did a ministry that qualified him to receive from heaven and also declared what he received. His prophecies were not just prophecies alone; they were prophecies with a high level of understanding that was given to him.

Someone can rejoice and glory in the fact that he has seen something (vision) but Daniel was not like that. Daniel sought to understand; that was one of the peculiar things about him. He was a prophet with a level of understanding. He sought to understand and it was given to him in a measure, as he had visitations of ministering spirits who ministered understanding to him (Daniel 9:22-23, Daniel 10:11-12).

When ministering spirits are present, they do not show themselves in most cases. This is because our attention/focus can be shifted when we see them. The understanding they bring is more important than us seeing them physically. Understanding is what God calls appearance. The appearance of ministering spirits is divinely granted; and anytime this happens, it means it will not eclipse the understanding that is to be brought. In other words, understanding is what matters before God. That was the approach of Daniel; He had the approach of understanding towards the encounters he was having and he did understand. By reason of praying for understanding, war broke out in the heavens. We don’t know how many wars have gone on in the heavenlies because of the understanding that is being brought to us. There are ministering spirits that particularly minister understanding. However, this type of understanding is different from the spirit of wisdom and revelation Paul prayed for the Ephesian Church (Eph. 1:17).

Ministers are horns; they are authority. They are men who have been taught of the Lord, raised by God and also authorised by God. The authority is what the horn represents. There are certain operations in the realm of the spirit that cannot occur until a man/minister who has been authorised by heaven to minister from that realm is present. When he comes, he comes with things from the realm of heaven where he ministers from. The realm where he ministers from is a realm of understanding and that realm is the rain he carries. If he does not come, the cloud would not come; and if the cloud does not gather, the rain will not fall. This means the people won’t be blessed. This is how God made it.

The seven Spirits are all measures of the capacity of wisdom and understanding that can be ministered. All realms of the seven Spirits are realms of wisdom and understanding; they are vory places where knowledge and doctrines are archived. "All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad."(Psalm 45:8) These spices are revelation and wisdom. If a man has been granted access to these ivory palaces, he can reach such things and bring them.

God can deck a man with heavenly things. The understanding of God's knowledge were the eyes given to Paul, which he shared as he taught the doctrine of Christ. Prior to Paul’s coming to the Ephesian Church, they were aliens to the realm of the spirit of wisdom and understanding; but after teaching them, their eyes began to open. What is being ministered to us are eyes. Eyes are being given to us; and for this eyes to be given to us, God had to deal with His servant, Reverend Kayode Oyegoke in a particular way.

Daniel was a man who sought for understanding. Can we seek for understanding like he sought for understanding?! Scripture refers to a man who looks for understanding as "greatly beloved" (Dan. 10:11). A man who is looking for understanding is looking for God's things. You cannot look for God's things and He won't love you. Daniel was so loved by God because of what he was looking for. What you are looking for is what is going to separate you; and the tenacity with which you look for it will separate you from the crowd. We can all be hearing doctrine but not everyone of us are looking for it.

When a company of people are walking together, some would have been running. It is out of those who have separated themselves by running that some will take off in flight. This shows the tenacity of pursuit. One of the deceptions I have discovered is "physical settlement", especially when you have seen wilderness experience and all of a sudden find comfort of some cushioning in the natural. Separation occurs as a result of what one is looking for; it has nothing to do with your person. Daniel sought to understand matters of the end.

Michael was present in the season of Daniel. These ministering spirits carry atmospheres that cannot come to us, no matter how much we fast and pray until they have been ordained to come. Those realms of understanding belong to some ministering spirits, and it is the Holy Ghost who instructs them to come. It is when they come that these things can be given. Eventhough Daniel sought understanding, matters of the end were not given to him; he had his own lot. Daniel was a man who looked for matters of the end; he pressed on with demands to know these matters but they were not given to him to know (Daniel 12:4-9). This means there is a kind of demand we have to place on what we are hearing as we look for the things of the end. What we are looking for is the understanding that comes at the revelation of the person of Jesus Christ.

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ…" (1 Peter 1:13). The grace here is the grace for understanding. We must understand both the first and the last trumpet; they are doctrines. If they are to be understood, then we have to press for understanding. Understanding comes with effort. Scripture says "He that asketh receiveth" (Matt. 7:8). This means if one is not asking or seeking, one will not receive or find. Jane Lade called some people “worthy seekers and loving enquirers”. These people are not just ordinary seekers; they are worthy seekers. They did some things that proved that they are worthy to seek the things which they sought after; they are seekers that love what they seek after. This means they love His appearance, desiring to see the end of the matter.

What is happening globally will not happen if things are not happening in the realm of the spirit. There is a war in the realm of the spirit that sometimes looks like it is going to burst out into the physical; but what we are looking for is the end of the matter. These things we are hearing are matters of the end; if they are not spoken, the end will not come. Jesus said, "This gospel of the kingdom will be preached" (Matt. 24:14). The gospel of everlasting life will be preached. When it is being preached, the end is coming. So we hold the key; we are to participate in how this present world will be folded up. This will happen by what we are looking for. The urgency with which we look for these things will hasten the conclusion of the matter (2 Pet. 3:12).

God wants to show His throne, which is the last. He wants His throne to be seen. Scripture says "...thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit..." (Dan. 7:9). The casting down of the throne is its unveiling. There has to be the revelation of the throne of God amidst the saints. It is when this is happening that the Ancient of days will sit in our midst. The revelation of the throne is what will make us thronic. This is because the Ancient of days will not sit when people are not prepared; there has to be a company of people who have received the revelation of the throne. The throne has to be cast down means it has to be brought down to people's comprehension. The people who will comprehend it are saints of the Most High. Then, the Ancient of days will sit to judge.

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." (1 John 3:2) We are waiting for an appearance. “What we shall be” is tied to an appearance; it is connected to the unveiling of the throne. Every unveiling of the throne is with one aim: to turn the people. It is not the entirety of the Church that will be the bride of the Lord. What will separate us within the Church is the hearing and understanding of doctrine. Understanding will determine lots. Without the understanding of doctrine, there is no lot. This is why teachings give lots. There will be believers without lots in the spirit. You can enjoy privileges of some lots but they are not yours.

"And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body."(Romans 8:23) There are levels of looking for Him. The groaning referred to in this scripture is a level of looking for. One can not look for at the level that the Apostle Paul looked for when you are yet to become a first fruits. Those who have the first fruits of the spirits can be likened to having the testimony. Thus, the testimony may be referred to as the first fruit of the spirit. These men have heard the first trumpet, which gave rise to the first fruit, and they are waiting for the last trumpet which brings about the redemption of their bodies. These men are “waiting for the adoption to wit the redemption of their body” (Rom. 8:23). What pertains to the kind of adoption that these men have partaken of is the redemption of their body. This is why John says that “it hath not appeared what we will be like, but we know when he shall be revealed…” (1 John 3:2). This is not an assumptious knowledge; it is an assurance borne out of understanding.

We need to quicken our pace in order to arrive at this place where we are not assuming but we know. There is a place where we need to be while this rain is falling; and we will not make it there if we do not quicken our pace. John said “we know”, just like Paul said “we have the first fruit of the spirit and we groan” (Rom. 8:23). This indicates that there is a position that they have taken when the last trumpet will sound. This is a position they assumed by growth and by their walk. This is how they can see Him as He is appearing. He is meant to appear to you where you are; and where you are determines how you see Him, which in turn determines what you partake of that becomes your lot. Men like John and Paul were at a particular place waiting; they had a certain disposition to see Him.

Just as we have seen Him as Alpha, we need to be repositioned to see Him in the Omega light. If we do not see the Omega light, we would not see Him as He is. The unveiling of the throne is for us to see Him. There is a call to “come up hither” and another to “come and see”. Come up hither precedes come and see (Rev. 4:1). If we do not come up we cannot see. What we see becomes our lot. May we not see Him less than the throne is showing Him. May the unveiling of the throne position us to see, just the way we ought to see. Amen!
