ANAMNESIS DAY 4 MORNING SESSION PST. SHEHU MAKAMA

Programme: Anamnesis 2023 (Day 4 - Morning Session)

Date: Saturday, 9th December, 2023

"Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?" (Psa. 24:3). We are in the morning light season of our arrival on the mountain of the Lord. In this season, the sun will shine upon those who are on the mountain.  The mountain is on the east side of the City, and the east side is where the sun appears. This typifies that except one is on the mountain, one cannot see the appearance of the Son of God. The light of the Son has appeared like never before and the implication will bring about the eating of the body of Christ. For us to arrive at the mountain/hill of the Lord, there is a possibility that we have arrived at His holy place. However, our qualification is stated in verse 4.

"He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully." (Psa. 24:4). Satan’s vow against humanity is what has resulted in our love for vanity. Our ability to turn from that vow lies in the appearance that will take place on this mountain; which is not just about having the knowledge of the Lord.

Our covenant with death can only be disannulled upon this mountain (Isa. 28:18). The possibility of turning from idols is done by appearances, and appearances result in entrances. There are idols in us that we are not aware of until the Lord appears. It is the light of His appearance that will shine on the dark places of our hearts.

There is a purity of heart that is expected on this mountain. It is not a purity of heart that comes as a result of the season of refreshing but a purity of the heart of restitution. We are being restituted or substituted. This is the fulfillment of the covenant of God when He said that He would give us a heart of flesh (Eze. 36:26). That kind of pure heart that produces pure love can only take place as a result of the fleshly heart that will be given unto us.

Upon this mountain, we see the reality of the testament or the enactment of the New Testament. We can only find grace to ascend to the holy place when the testimony is enacted. The blessing upon the mountain has been bringing entrances and access, as a result of what we see (Ps. 24:5). This is what the presence and appearance of Jesus will do to us.

"This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah." (Psa. 24:6). We are a generation that has been raised to seek the Lord like never before. This is the result of the encounter on the hill that brings about His appearance. Seeking His face is seeking Him from the point of appearance; and this can only take place on the mountain because behind the mountain are rays of light. Sunlight can only be seen from the mountain. We keep journeying to seek His face as a result of our encounter with the light on the mountain/hill.

“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.” (Psa. 24:7). This was a pattern through which the Lord Jesus ascended. Entrance into the tabernacle is only possible through gates. The gates enshrine the body of the Lord, while the doors are symbolic of access into life. While the gates give us access into the tabernacle, the doors give us access into the life of the Spirit. This is the same manner in which the Lord will administer access to us.

We are in this season to partake of the spirit which is life and the body which is the bread; this is as a result of the energizing life that takes us from one level of life to another. The entrance through the gate is what turns us from our idols. So, every appearance of Jesus brings an entrance into the door which will see us turn away from the idols within our hearts - this grants us the possibility of turning towards God.

As we experience the appearance of the Lord, we are also having access. As we partake of it, we are taking the embodiment of the tabernacle. We have to keep giving ourselves to these appearances because as Jesus is appearing, doors and gates are being opened. The gates of our hearts are being opened, the doors of our souls are being raised, and ascension is taking place through the appearance of the Lord. We are accessing the gate and finding entrance into the appearance of the Lord. Hence, it is important that our hearts are enlarged so that we will not remain where we are.

May we find grace to keep journeying upwards until we appear in the Holy Place of the Lord. Amen.

Blessings!
