Believers' Convention 2022 (DAY 4 - Evening Session)

Date: Wednesday, 10th August  2022

It is one thing for one to be blessed by a message, it is another thing to agree with it and find entrance. God is serious about this message of righteousness. It is because of the doing of the will of God that we are being kept alive. Although revelations from the scriptures are beautiful, what matters the most are what we do with them. We choose to either press into them or enjoy them briefly and return to our former ways.

One can assume that the doctrine of God would be so difficult to understand. On the contrary, the Believers Convention theme, “Who is like God?”, would be made so simple and low by God that many will find it difficult to enter into its understanding. The disciples of Jesus asked Him to show them the Father and He responded saying “...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” (John 14:9). The disciples were confused by the response because they thought that God cannot be as low as Jesus was with them. Until now, the Jews still wait for the Messiah's coming because they did not expect him to be as low as Jesus, the son of a carpenter who was born in a manger (Mark. 6:5).

We ought to be as low as God so that we can find entrance into the Kingdom of God; as Jesus admonished, “...learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart” (Matt. 11:29). The heart of God is low and meek, just like the Lamb of God. Because of the Lamb’s lowliness, many may be unable to discern Him. If we are not helped, we can despise men of God who have embodied the life of Christ, because they are low.

Men ought to be converted and made as children for entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt. 18:3). A program for conversion must first be installed in us for us to be converted; this is the purpose of the doctrine of Christ. Although the revelations of God may be difficult because of the complications of the soul; God is simple.

The things that hinder a man from becoming like God are the man’s enemies. It is God’s responsibility to make these enemies His footstool (Psa. 110:1). What enabled Jesus to sit at the right hand of God are laws. Therefore, the enemies of Jesus are also laws, not persons or Satan. Satan is not the opposite of God, neither is he the opposite of Jesus. Enemies are the negative natures in man. The enemies of Christ are the laws that are positioned against the formation of Christ in our souls.

A man’s confession is not as powerful as his position in the spirit. We are meant to assume the position of a lowly heart, that is, a heart of Christ. This is the only justification for the war between the Lamb and a dragon (Rev. 17:14). The nature of the Lamb is the nature of the Father. The Father wants to give us entrance into the Kingdom; however, we must be willing to let go of ourselves and become low to receive all of God.

The full blessings of God will not come to us at once because we are still being tried by God. We will turn away from God when we see Him because of the infirmities in our souls. He gives us revelations of Him so that we can draw near to Him, but this cannot happen until we are delivered from our sins. Without knowledge, we cannot love. We need the knowledge of God to love Him.

Blessings!
