“Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds…[4] Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” (Heb. 1:2,4). We are approaching zones of fear and dread, where human strength and knowledge will cease to function. The closest to this realm is the realm of the angelic. This scripture does not refer to all angels but specific ones. This is because it is not all angels that have a particular name. While some angels have particular names (like Michael and Gabriel), others have strata or assembly names (like seraphims, hosts, powers, etc). The angels whom Jesus was compared with (whom He has a more excellent name than) are those who have particular names.

Although ages were framed by the Son, God put them in custody of angels. They wield so much power and authority over the created world and can be found in every administration of God. They are aware of everything that happens on earth because it is under their operation. Although we are the heirs of salvation, they still work with us (Heb. 1:14). The Holy Ghost wants to teach us all things (John 14:26). He is an agent of the world to come, but angels are of the present; they are like the middle men. They help us understand the things that the Holy Ghost says to us about the world to come because our human frame is not configured to understand that world on its own. This is the reason why the book of Revelations was put in custody of angels.

“Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” (Psa. 103:20). Hearkening is higher than obeying and these angels are programmed to obey without rationalizing the commandments of God. Therefore, we must obey continually before we progress into ‘hearkening’. In our present state, we cannot hearken more than angels. Angels are spirits and everlasting creatures, therefore, the everlasting world is under their care. They serve for the course of the testimony and endure to come to our world because the world of flesh is dark. In the world of men, what we call life and enjoy is actually death, but angels do not see such things as life.

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him…” (Col. 1:16). ‘Things created’ does not refer to physical things, but to things that were made by God and for Him (like the angels). Other creations were subordinate to them, for God gave them this authority when He created them. This is why angels have authority to control certain things on earth. In the realm of the spirit, angels are tangible creatures. People who venture into the realm of the angelic without caution usually get into trouble because fallen angels (principality and power, spiritual wickedness in high places, etc) also come from this realm. They are a copy of the hierarchy of the good angels.

Our growth in the gospel is a change of nature, strata or place in the spirit. Therefore, as we grow up, God changes the spirits that fight with us. These spirits know our stature because our growth is not alien to them. They also have a likeness of our fleshly nature. Therefore, we should not expect our warfare to stop. God allowed it so because that is how we will really grow. If we are not in combat, we will not make use of the things that we have. We acquire age by use (Heb. 5:14).

The spirits we fight cannot expire easily because they can last. Therefore, we need strength to learn how to stand in battle. The gospel is supposed to equip us with strength to build stamina against these spirits. Our obedience is also a conflict or combat in the spirit. Many times, we think that the christian life looks dull, but if our eyes are opened in the spirit, we would find that it is the opposite. Warfare keeps us going spiritually; it is how we gain victory over spirits. Therefore, we must be very interested in it.

The angelic world is a world of order. Order is in their nature because of their system of warfare. As such, they are usually amazed when they see disorder among men, for we will not get anything done that way. The realm of the spirit is heavily stratified and by reason of how the angels were created, they must keep their estate. Therefore, no lower spirit is allowed to desire a higher estate. But Lucifer disobeyed this order; He allowed this thought to get to his heart (Isa. 14:13) and it corrupted him.

We should not abuse the grace and mercy of God because He does not want us to only keep asking for pardon. When we sin, we gain more strength to do wrong — it becomes easier to do wrong. Forgiveness is not the same as remittance of sins. When we have this understanding, we will not take grace for lasciviousness (Jude 4:4), or refuse to change. Unlike the angels, our lot as men is to change estate and it is by grace that we do so. The reason for our birth in the spirit is so that we can change estates. A person can either ascend or descend in the spirit. What we are learning in the faith is for ascension, therefore, the desire to ascend must become a running system in us.

The trouble that the enemy brought into our world has diminished faith. As such, our capacity to trust and believe has been seriously reduced. Many times, we believe but we have fear. We must admit that we have fear but we must learn to pray prayers that can guarantee faith in our hearts. There are a few safety measures we must learn to survive in the terrible world we live in because all the things that are on earth are designed to kill faith. It is not easy to stay in faith; this is why Jesus asked if he will find faith in the earth when He comes (Luke 18:8).

There is the eternal God and the everlasting God. The eternal God left His glory and came down into the everlasting sphere, where He can make creation. This is because He cannot create from the eternal realm, but only birth. Anything that proceeds from the eternal realm must be from His loins. You get born again as a son in the eternal realm. The everlasting God is the owner and Lord of the everlasting realm. He is an incorruptible God, while the Eternal God is the immortal God. The eternal realm is God’s realm of invisibility but everything created in the realm that can be seen is everlasting.

“Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.” (1 Tim. 6:16). There is a light that no man can see (whether man or angels). Immortality is in the sphere, thoughts and knowledge that cannot be cracked into creation’s realm. The everlasting God changeth not, neither does He weary, and there is no searching of His understanding (Isa. 40:28).

What makes Jesus superior to the angels is because He inherited all things everlasting and inherited incorruption. Angels have an everlasting life but they are still subject to corruption. Jesus' power changed and upgraded from faith power to eternal power. The essence of the faith power is to deal with this present world — to turn us from darkness to light.

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse…” (Rom. 1:20). God wants eternal power and Godhead to be seen. Therefore, we must be prepared to use eternal power. The eternal power is the power of the realm of foreverness; it is the power of the age or world to come. Eternal power is the world where there is the administration of the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost. There are levels of power in the everlasting but there is the eternal power, which is next to the eternal world. Every everlasting realm has its power.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Rom. 1:16). Christ is a life and He has His Gospel. Christ's power is generated from faith life. This faith is the knowledge of Christ in dealing with flesh. Flesh is a life and the power needed to save flesh is Christ, which is to obey the righteous instructions of God in Christ. These instructions are in the sphere of brotherly love, patience, virtue, knowledge, godliness (2 Pet. 1:5-7). They are the powers that are used in this realm.

There is a faith of Christ but there is also a faith that is not controlled by what is seen. In the former, the change is visible but in the latter, it is invisible. It will take discernment to understand that one has moved from the faith dimension in Christ to the everlasting dimension. When one is being moved into the everlasting realm, he will fall into diverse tribulations.

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations…” (Jam. 1:2). In the realm of Christ, we are faced with one or two tribulations but in the everlasting realm, we are buffeted on all sides. The faith of Hebrews 11 is the faith for diverse temptations and if  you are not open to the invisible, you cannot survive it. God will not bring a temptation to you that is higher than where you are in the spirit.

“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (John 6:51). Each water has its own bread. When you eat the bread and water of each path, you access a level of foreverness. The Lamb's skill is to lead men through the path that the angels do not even know. It can only take the Lamb to lead men in the path to access life forever. Angels cannot do this because they do not know the path. But we have found favor before God to be led in the way Jesus walked and also have the reward of life He now has.

Blessings!
