Transcript Summary

1. “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. [6]If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: [7]but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:5-7). The metamorphosis of light, truth and life is explained in this scripture. There cannot be fellowship without light. The light is the message; this means God is the message (because He is Light). The declarer of the message is the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ (1 John 5:20).

2. (John 17:1-4). Jesus had glorified the name of the Father on earth by finishing His work, but He had to glorify the Father again. To glorify the Father at this pedigree, He had to be glorified – a glory Jesus entered into after He had suffered (Lk. 24:26). This glory is Eternal Life. We give glory to God by doing His will and finishing His work. God’s work is to live in man as the Father; it is to build the stature of His fullness in us. A son of God is one who bears the Father on his inside; this is why the Father is well pleased in such.

3. The Father is a work just like we also are works. When God is building or working in a son, this son is also being reproduced in the Father. This means it is a two-way thing. Our souls should be the abode of the Father.

4. We cannot go into God on our own; we need a Father who can father us. This Father is someone of our kind – the Lord Jesus. We receive the Father when we allow the occupation of the Father. When we do this, we are also preparing a place for ourselves in the Father.

5. “And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, And every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: For all shall know me, From the least to the greatest.” (Heb. 8:11). We need to be taught to know the Lord. This teaching is a heart work because it involves the movement of spirit into a man. A man who is knowing God is learning 'way'; this is because God is an embodiment of ways. We need to be more dynamic to be able to flow with “ways”. When God is standing by us, He is initiating us and our members, and upgrading our person to be quick and fluid. This is why it takes the heart of flesh (not a heart of stone) to know God; that is the kind of heart that can receive His spirit (Ezek. 36:26). When God measures ways to us, He is measuring truth and spirit to us. If we have God’s ways in abundance, then we have abundance of truth.

6. The purpose of the knowledge of God is to train and raise a man in the spirit – one who would be able to flow in His “ways”. Anyone who is spiritually lazy and is not able to take the learning/training will easily get weary in the journey.

7. We come to know God by understanding Him. When God comes to shed the light of His person, we must have an understanding to partake of that doctrine. No spiritually dull fellow can partake in doctrine. To understand is to know the method of something. One who has known God has His Person. We cannot come into fellowship with the persons of God by Their precept (knowledge) alone; fellowship is an initiation into “how” God’s ways are set. We should grow from learning about God to knowing Him (His way). Knowledge can be stored in us as substances that are meant to translate us into a spirit. This is where sins and iniquity are dealt with. We must come to an agreement to follow the spirit that God’s “lines” communicate to us for the skill of sin we have previously acquired to be deleted.

8. “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” (Heb. 8:12). This scripture flows from verse 10 which speaks about God putting laws in our minds and writing them in our hearts. This means that God will remember sins and iniquity if His laws have not been written in us.

9. God being light is not just the knowledge of God; it is the shining of Himself – His life (1 John 1:4). When God is shining, He initiates us into an understanding to see Him. Every knowing that comes to us in bits opens us up into an umbrella of light that will tell us what to do. And the essence is so that we would stop walking in darkness. Darkness is also a light that emanates from the devil – another kind of understanding other than God’s own.

10. Darkness is the wisdom for the life called sin. Sin used to be a truth that an angel (Lucifer) turned. This is why sin can be steadfast and is real to men. Darkness initiates sin. Sin is born when darkness sheds lie. Light sheds truth. Whenever God is shining or Jesus is ministering, it is for the purpose of removing sin. This is the season when Jesus is declaring the Father's name – which is the light of His person. A man cannot preach the Father when such does not have the Father.

11. The Son gives the Father by shining the light of God’s person, which is grace. Grace comes when we are made to understand doctrine. The obedience of grace translates to truth, and then we are given power to make life. We cannot have life as long as sin is still present in our souls. There are two levels to committing sin: committing sin in terms of obvious works of the flesh and being committed to the life of sin. One can be committing fornication and he has not yet committed himself to the life called sin. However, such a sin can bring such a fellow to become committed to sin. Also, someone may not be fornicating but he is committed to the life called sin. Things like ambition, if not dealt with, can bring a fellow to being committed to sin.

12. Adultery, fornication, lies and other works of the flesh as listed in Galatians 5:19-21 are forms of darkness that will lead a man to the "motherboard" of sin, which would eventually take such a soul away from God. What is referred to as the "motherboard of sin" are the things Isaiah 28:15 calls "lies" and "falsehood". Lie is greater than falsehood. The beast is a lie while His prophets are false (Rev. 19:20). Falsehood comes first and then translates into a lie. Satan is a father whose darkness teaches lies (John 8:44).

13. There are two requirements for coming into the fellowship of the Father: light and ways (the doctrine of God’s person). When that is done, the saint will have something to obey – truth. When he has done truth, he becomes eligible for blood. Blood will not be sprinkled until one has done obedience (1 Pet. 1:2). When we have done the truth, it establishes us as a bonafide fellow in the fellowship. We take our place in the fellowship to take the inheritance, and the inheritance begins with the life (blood) They give to you. It is through the Son that we get blood. Hence, it is a fellowship of the Father and the Son. This is why he that has the Father has the Son also (1 Jn. 1:3).

14. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins (Heb. 9:22). Remission of heavenly things takes place in fellowship. This is what John described as the ministry of the High Priest. We need understanding to operate in Their fellowship, to enable us to work with Them to break the allegiance of sin. Men in fellowship are men who have been made strong by Jesus to disobey darkness and break their covenant with sin.

15. When fellowship is in place, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin (1 Jn. 1:7). "All sin" does not go automatically, unless we reject them. To do so, we need some storage of energy to hate sin. Before now, men have not encountered the ministry of blood. But thanks be to God, we are now in the season when blood can be offered and we can access the blood. The blood of the Son of God is made available in fellowship.

16. The blood of the Son of God is a greater grace than light. This is what the Scripture means when it says, “grace for grace” (Jn. 1:16). There is the grace of light and the grace of the blood; this means there is the grace of understanding, which is different from the grace of life. One must have done obedience to be able to handle life or offer blood for oneself or others. When we obey the light of the word of God, we are brought into a place where we can sacrifice. It is in sacrifice that we make a covenant. Sacrifice has to do with letting go of one’s life.

17. There are sins the element of God's light can handle. However, there are sins that would require blood to deal with; this is because sin is blood (Isa. 4:4; 1:18). There is a difference between obedience and blood. It is in the blood that life is broken or given up. Sins and iniquity cannot be removed without life being given up; this is because Satan's life also lies in his blood. So it has to be life for life. Satan used his blood to design a lie called sin and iniquity and gave it to men as life.

18. When the Lord Jesus comes, sons will go up to God. This is a different order of ministry. Bringing many sons to God is bringing His Son back to Him; this is because these sons will be exactly like Jesus. No other image should be produced in men but the image of the Son of God. Therefore, anyone who will do this work with God must be thorough. Jesus is the only acceptable image; hence, our minds must be on nothing else but Him. He alone must be the vision.

19. God wants to make us fishers of men. However, no one can capture men for the Lord without having the spirit ("lines"). You cannot catch "fishes" except you also have eaten "fish". "Fish" is spirit. Jesus is a fisher of men and was able to catch men because He has the Father. We need to be equipped to be able to catch men.
