“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. [8] And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.” (Gen. 2:7-8). One thing that is peculiar about image formation is that an image cannot be formed without light. In the natural, for an object to be seen as an image, light has to fall on it. The strength of what we see is absolutely dependent on the amount of light falling on an image at that moment. Light is responsible for image formation; without it, image formation will be difficult.

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.” (Exo. 20:4). The amount of light you have will determine what you put together as an image. God is an image maker and He is the Father of lights (Jam. 1:17). God has all the lights and they are responsible for image formation. God is the full spectrum for the formation of the image and only He knows this image. Therefore, without God, we will raise a wrong image.

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” (Gen. 1:2-3). Light is brought to us in bits and sizes until the entire image is formed. This is why God needs to continue bringing the word to us. Therefore, we should not be weary of hearing. The frequency of the word that is coming our way is due to the activity of the Spirit of God. This was the Spirit that was hovering upon the deep when God spoke in Genesis 1; those words carried Spirit (Gen. 1:2-3). Therefore, words are necessary for image formation to occur inside of us because they carry spirits. Words are not ordinary; they are not mere vocabulary or grammatical constructions–they carry particles for image formation.

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Rom. 8:2). The laws that proceed out of God are more than just words; they are spirit of life. The essence of this spirit is to cause life to come into a being. The law of the Spirit of life is the first image that God wants to use to raise in us. As God speaks, a spirit follows the word and begins to work. That was why God brought the Israelites to Mount Sinai, so that as He spoke to them, something would be formed in them. For God’s image to be formed in us, we need to live by every word and light He gives because each word that God releases is an image former (Matt. 4:4, Gen 1:26-27).

Image formation is a characteristic of “gods”, therefore, Lucifer can also form images. We war against the image of God when we do the things we are not instructed to do. The word “malice” is not just an English word but an image. It is a law that was carefully crafted by the receiving of wrong words/laws. It is a law that is at work in the children of disobedience (Eph. 2:2). Both obedience and disobedience can fashion a man and raise an image in him. Disobedience will raise a wrong image in a man. Therefore, each time a disobedient being stands, God sees an image that cannot come to Him or one that He cannot approve.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Heb. 11:6). Faith is the first core prerequisite of coming to God. It is a prerequisite for entering into the feast.  There are things that make us stand out amidst the brethren, negatively. There was an image of idolatry that was raised in Ephraim, therefore, he stood out amidst his brethren (Hos. 4:17).

The first image that must be formed in every one of us is Christ, for this is the image that God will approve to do further work upon. This is the reason for the labour of Paul over churches in the epistles (Gal. 4:19). It is necessary that we have light for this image to be formed. Every wrong nature that is displayed in us, like unforgiveness, is an image. We should therefore not play around with wrong natures because by doing so, we would be playing with image.

People get the idea to craft dumb idols from images that have been formed inside them by wrong spirits. God wanted to raise the entire nation of Israel as priests unto Himself. Satan saw this desire and knew that if the Lord was successful at Mount Sinai, he would have lost over the children of Israel. He also knew that the children of Israel refused the speaking of the Lord at Mount Sinai, so he went on to raise an image amidst them before Moses brought the table of stones. It was an image against another image, so the children of Israel could not withstand Moses when he came from the mountain. It was an image that wrestled Moses to break the table of stones (Exo. 32:1-19)

Wrong natures are wrong images that are formed in us by the adversary. Cain could kill his brother (Abel) because another image had taken him over (Gen. 4:8). Before the physical manifstation of that murder, he had killed Abel in his heart. However, one of the strengths of the season of everlasting life is that it can put an end to sin; it can put an end to images.

Sin is an image that has been raised in the soul. What will make a man keep doing something he has been corrected of is an image. But God is the One who forms the real image in us. No other image can stand when God is forming an image in a man. We are in the season of the formation of images and God wants to raise righteousness as an image inside us. The first image that God wants to raise is Christ. When Christ is raised in a man, you will give God an opportunity to work. God wants to take time in this season to break down the wrong images inside us. When Christ is formed in a man, the only thing he will think of is the Father because God is the only destination of Christ.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (Gen. 1:26). God is interested in forming images. The man that was created in Genesis was not the image of God, he was supposed to journey to become that image but he fell short. Then, Jesus Christ was raised and He became the spitting image of God (Heb. 1:3). God wants to do this same work that He did in Jesus in us. We are in such a season where God wants to do this work in us, therefore, we should not joke with light.

Images are weights and they are borne in the souls of men. However, the weight in the souls of some people has thinned out their abilities to be sensitive to the spirit. When a person cannot see far, it is an image that is blocking his vision (2 Peter 1:9). God wants to take us through the route of image formation because some ancient buildings that have been raised in us have to be cracked down. Images are very strong; a wrong image can make  people reject God’s will for them.

What Satan projects is a lie, but we need light to know what a lie truly is. Some definitions we have about things are as a result of the image formation in us, and we usually approach life based on this. For wrong images to be taken out of us, we need to be exposed to light. As the law of the Spirit of life is being given to us, light is also being given. The law of sin and death is a law that gives us wrong yardsticks and definitions about things, and it is being preached everywhere. If a man does not live by every word that proceeds from God (Matt. 4:4), he would be living by another word, which will form another image in him. Through images, we live and define courses for our lives (Eph. 2:2). The course of this world defines an image that exists everywhere on earth, for Satan has raised his image in all nations.

There can be morally upright people in this world, but they might still be working in the course of this world. The spirit that now works in the children of disobedience is of Satan and it has been commissioned to work out the nature of the world in men. This spirit raises images that will eventually become as the beast but God wants to crack down such images. He rather wants us to raise an image that will grow up to be like our Father. The only authentic image that every man is meant to raise is the image that God makes.

God is a maker of images. When He makes His image, it is usually so strong that nothing else can stand it. The image He raised in a man like Job was difficult to crack down. Satan did all he could to crack it, but Job did not give in. Something was raised in Job, therefore, he was speaking from that image even when he had lost all his children and everything that he had. In all that came to Job, something was formed in him by God. When we allow God to raise a formation within us, we can be sure that nothing can crack it. God was sure of the job He had done in Job.

“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.  [12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb 4:11-12). Thoughts are particles of image formation; they are things that Satan uses to form images. This is what God also uses to form images. When thoughts come to us, materials for forming images also come to us. As such, Jesus said that we should “take no thought”, because each thought forms or raises an image within us. When we take thoughts, they raise a kind of a creature in us.

Satan tried to raise images within Jesus through the temptations he sent His way, but Jesus ensured that none was formed in Him. The only person who raised an image in Jesus was the Father. God raised the first image, and at Jordan He said, “This is my beloved Son” (Matt. 3:17). When the second image was formed, He said “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear ye Him” (Matt. 17:5).

Sin looks like something that can never crack, but all we need to do is to be consistent in hearing Jesus. When Jesus’ image has been formed in us, sin would take its leave. The light of the knowledge of the glory of God is the image that God wants to form in us. This image is formed by light. God wants to increase light in this season. The essence of the increase in light is to break down a lie.

“For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God…” (1 Thess. 1:9). God is going to raise an image in us; the image of the living and true God and we will completely turn. In this season, there will be a major shift. When this work has been done within us, we would cooperate with God to move out of the places where idols have held us down. Everyone of us will turn from idols and we would serve the living and the true God.

Blessings!
